My Story...

My career in interior design started after I experienced a house fire in my Yorkshire home. I found the subsequent redesign process so therapeutic that I ditched my successful career in marketing and advertising and retrained as an Interior Designer whilst raising my young family. Twenty years later, now living in Chipping Norton, my family have flown the nest and I'm still working happily with my clients helping them to develop decor schemes and remodel their spaces.

I'm passionate about how we are affected by colour, pattern and light but Interior Design isn't all about paint, fabric and mood boards. I enjoy it because it requires the use of quite complex processes to understand and interpret the client's vision and to carry out the creative execution of a project.
However, despite its involved and often technical nature, Interior Design is still an unregulated industry. This is why I sought SBID (Society of British & International Interior Design) accreditation which recognises designers who share and work to agreed processes with their clients. This results in a mutual understanding of the process involved in shaping great interiors to an agreed budget and timescale.
